International Cooperation & Grants

International Cooperation & Grants is a programme of the Eurasian Council for Craft and Design focused on building international partnerships and facilitating participation in programmes of the European Union and other international donors in the fields of craft, design, and the creative industries.

The programme is oriented toward the development of long-term institutional relationships rather than one-off project collaborations and ensures the professional involvement of ECCD partners in international competitive and programme-based frameworks.

Programme Objectives:

  • development of sustainable international partnerships;

  • integration of Eurasian craft and design into international programmes and networks;

  • attraction of external resources for professional and research initiatives;

  • strengthening the institutional capacity of partners in working with donors.

Key Areas:

International Partnerships Development; Establishment and facilitation of partnerships with international organisations, foundations, institutions, and professional networks.

EU & Donor Programmes Participation; Participation in European Union programmes and other donor frameworks (including Creative Europe, Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and international cultural funds and agencies).

Consortium Building & Coordination;Formation of international consortia and coordination of partner roles within project applications and programme frameworks.

Grant Readiness & Capacity Building; Strengthening partners’ readiness to work with grants through improved understanding of procedures, requirements, reporting, and project sustainability.

Project Development & Institutional Support; Support for the development of concepts, project logic, and partnership models, without assuming or replacing the responsibilities of applicant organisations.

Implementation Formats:

  • strategic partnership agreements;

  • international working groups and consortia;

  • project laboratories and co-design of applications;

  • expert consultations and peer review;

  • methodological materials and guidelines.

ECCD acts as a platform for coordination, trust, and institutional quality, connecting partners, ensuring transparency of processes, and providing an international context, without acting as a grant-making body or agency.
